About

I started this blogging journey as a medium to process all the emotions of loss when my sweet, Nanny passed away unexpectedly in the fall of 2012. After a few posts, however, I walked away to grieve in private. I was too raw, and the emotions were too much to share publicly.

It’s been almost 5 years now, and the loss of her is still incredibly present and painful, but life has moved forward.  As it tends to do, life has changed a bit and with those changes, I feel more ready to continue the journey I started. I will still wax sentimental- because that’s just me…

The purpose for blogging has also changed, as I honor her memory by sharing recipes for good food, remembering the lovely memories shared with family and friends, and bringing you, our readers, content which I hope you will take and make your own.

We wish you lovely meals filled with family, friendship and laughter. That’s the biggest and best way I know how to honor her memory- to share that kind of love with others. I hope you’ll join us.
